By "stale food," we mean leftover sermons—messages reheated and repeated by others in search of something inspiring to share with God's people. In contrast, his messages are always fresh and relevant, speaking directly to the daily lives of the congregation. He is effective because he is an extemporaneous preacher, never preparing a sermon in advance but relying instead on the Holy Spirit to guide his thoughts as he stands to deliver his message.
