There are statements in the Bible that defy human comprehension until God touches our minds. "The day of death is better than the day of one's birth." (Ecclesiastes 7:1)

To the world, our priorities make no sense. Yet, an elect child of God faces death like the Apostle Paul.  "I am now ready to be offered {in death}, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight; I have finished my course..."(2 Timothy 4:6-8)

"In everything, give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

Our congregation gratefully acknowledged our heavenly Father's mercy and sovereignty this evening when Sister Indira returned from the hospital after being hospitalized for a serious health procedure. Brother Singh recounted numerous miracles that have blessed our congregation. Scripture instructs the family of God to "Confess our faults one to another, and pray one for another so that we may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." (James 5:16)

As his ministry concluded, Jesus asked his disciples a rhetorical question to open the eyes of their understanding: "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?" (Matthew 24:45). In this profound lesson, Brother Singh takes us on a journey of discovery to answer the same question for 21st-century saints!

Let's not mistake religious practices for genuine godliness. The Jews, with their Torah and writings of the prophets, mechanically fulfilled all the requirements of their religious traditions, yet they did not have a genuine connection with God. Everyone needs to be in church—not just any church—but one that teaches holiness, without which no one can see God. (Hebrews 12:14). Let us remember that it is in Christ's church that "the spirits of just men are made perfect" (Hebrews 12:23).

A man God calls to His ministry should expect to give a lot but receive little. The Apostle Paul gave a lot but received little recognition or credit for his work from the assemblies he planted. Likewise, Jeremiah and Isaiah gave a lot but received little. Recognition for a man of God is obedience to the living word, not money or fame. A man of God wants to see lives changed! Echoing the Apostle John, "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth."

To be born to parents in the assembly and to remain in it for over four decades is a rare but wonderful blessing. The Apostle John wrote: "For I rejoiced greatly when the brethren came and testified of the truth in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth." Our cherished senior elder, Brother John, shares that joy tonight as his son Jason testified.

When the Kingdom of God is established, there will not be any distinction between rich and poor, {between educated and uneducated}. Nobody will feel superior to another person. Therefore, Jesus' mindset starts in this present age. "When you enter the sanctuary, leave your McLaren in the parking lot!"
