A 33-year-old driver allegedly fled the scene after crashing into an 18-year-old pedestrian and 63-year-old cyclist on Chapel Street in Windsor at 10pm. The driver, who allegedly failed a preliminary breath test, sped out of an IGA car park, crossed two lanes of traffic, mounted the curb and smashed through a bench before being stopped by a brick wall. Hero bystanders pinned down the accused drunk driver as he attempted to escape, with both victims rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
