A 44-year-old man from Reservoir has been charged with murder after a woman was fatally struck by a car in Melbourne's northern suburbs. The incident occurred just after 7:30pm, with emergency services called to the scene approximately 10 kilometres north of Melbourne's CBD. A $4 billion defence contract has been awarded to WA-based company Austell to build eight heavy transport vessels in Henderson, creating 3,000 local jobs.
