A 55-year-old Western Sydney man has been charged with making death threats against Treasurer Jim Chalmers after allegedly making threatening phone calls to his office earlier this month. The man faced Campbelltown Local Court, was refused bail, and will reappear in March. Australian Federal Police raided a home in Macquarie Fields, seizing three gel blasters, three slingshot mounts, and metal handcuffs, with the maximum penalty for threatening to kill a politician being 10 years imprisonment.
