Lily Hooper, an 18-year-old Bridge Climb tour guide, died after becoming disoriented on a day hike in Nattai National Park on August 12. Her body was found after an eight-day search. Her parents, Jim and Kirraly Hooper, are calling for improved bush safety education for young people, proposing 'Lily's Law' to promote awareness of emergency beacons and GPS tracking devices, while also requesting the Premier fly the flag at half-mast in their daughter's honour.
