8-Bit Eric on Odysee

YouTube just rolled out its AI-powered age verification system — and it’s a disaster.
This isn’t about “protecting kids.” This is data collection, surveillance, and control.
From forced ID uploads to AI wrongly locking out users, this system is already a mess… and it’s only going to get worse.

And it’s not just YouTube — Spotify, Xbox, Discord, and Steam are all pushing similar systems. Platforms are removing games, restricting videos, and forcing you to hand over sensitive personal info just to watch content you’ve been watching for years.

This is how censorship spreads — and it affects EVERYONE, no matter your politics. If AI moderation keeps growing like this, we’re headed straight into an internet we don’t recognize.

Steam just changed how reviews work—and if you’re not paying attention, you could be buying censored or broken games without ever knowing the truth.

Here’s the deal: Valve will now filter reviews by language. By default, you’ll only see reviews in your account’s language. Sounds small, right? Wrong. This “tweak” essentially hides global backlash.

When a game gets censored or players overseas start review bombing to warn others—you won’t see it anymore. The score you see will look “clean.” Like nothing happened.

🎮 Example: Wu Chang: Fallen Feathers. That game was censored after pressure from Chinese nationalists. Gamers worldwide left negative reviews to warn people. Under this new system? Most Western players wouldn’t even see that outrage. They’d just see a glowing score, buy the game, and never know.

Valve claims this is about “cultural differences” and “translation issues.” But let’s be real—this is about burying criticism and sanitizing AAA reputations. Indie games? They fly under the radar. But the biggest releases—the ones with the most backlash—get protected.

⚠️ Here’s what you NEED to do:

Don’t trust the default score

Switch back to the old system in your Steam settings

Check ALL reviews across languages and hit translate

Because if a game is being censored, manipulated, or screwing its players—you deserve to know.

What do you think? Is this change protecting gamers from “noise,” or is it censorship in disguise? Drop your thoughts below 👇

The UK’s new Online Safety Act is already being abused. Offcom just tried to hit 4chan with a £20,000 fine plus daily penalties unless they censored their platform. But instead of backing down, 4chan’s lawyers fired back with a brutal legal response—reminding the UK that free speech in America isn’t up for negotiation.

This isn’t just about 4chan. If governments can censor them, then every website you use—Reddit, X, YouTube, even Discord—could be next. The “protect the kids” excuse is just a cover for global censorship.

👉 Do YOU think 4chan will win this fight against UK censorship? Let me know in the comments!

Roblox is a kids game. Millions of children play it every single day. But somehow, a journalist thought it was a good idea to sexualize it — and people are rightfully disgusted. This kind of take is not only gross, it completely misses what Roblox actually is and why kids love it.

What do YOU think about this? Is Roblox being unfairly attacked again, or is this just clickbait journalism gone too far?

You can’t make this up — PETA is now coming after Mario Kart World because… the cow has a nose ring.

Yes, while the rest of us are enjoying the new Nintendo Switch 2, racing around as a scooter-riding bovine hero, PETA has sent Nintendo an official letter demanding the cow be redesigned. Apparently, the idea of a fictional animal wearing a pixelated ring is too offensive for 2025.

In this video, we break down the ridiculous letter, roast PETA’s logic, and ask the big question: Is there anything they won’t complain about?

💬 What’s next — cancelling Donkey Kong for “primates in forced labor”? Demanding Yoshi stop carrying Mario because it’s “unethical”?

Drop your thoughts below and let’s have a laugh.

Gamers — this is getting ridiculous. Naughty Dog just sat back and LET one of their lead actresses publicly trash the very people who keep this industry alive. She called out critics, mocked fans, and acted like we’ll buy the game no matter how much disrespect they throw our way.

This isn’t just about one comment — it’s about a growing attitude in the gaming industry that YOU, the player, don’t matter. We’re expected to shut up, hand over our money, and be grateful.

In this video, we break down exactly what she said, why it’s so insulting, and why Naughty Dog’s silence is just as bad as the comments themselves. If you care about respect for gamers, this is one you can’t ignore.

💬 Drop your thoughts in the comments — should we still support a studio that lets its talent openly disrespect fans? Or is this where we finally draw the line?

Roblox has just done the UNTHINKABLE. A YouTuber who was working to EXPOSE predators in Roblox has been banned… and Roblox is now threatening LEGAL ACTION.

Instead of protecting kids, Roblox seems more interested in silencing those who try to keep their community safe. This shocking decision has sparked outrage across the gaming world — and raises serious questions about Roblox’s priorities.

In this video, we break down exactly what happened, why Roblox may be siding with predators, and what this means for the future of player safety.
