Dr. Jose Funes is an economic geographer with the Washington DC Mayor's Office of Planning.  He describes his use of spatial analytics and open data to pinpoint areas in Washington DC that would be most impacted by the health and unemployment effects of COVID.  He is originally from Honduras, and discusses how he has used spatial analytics to analyize West Nile, agricultural yields, rice nutrition in Rwanda, and now COVID impacts in Washington DC.
