Our body can feel all the feelings, the wanted and the unwanted, but here's the thing...somewhere along the line, we picked up this idea that we're meant to feel happy, and the purpose of this life is to be happy, and to seek happiness. And whilst there is a place for this, unknowingly we made it our mission to suppress unwanted feelings, to NOT allow ourselves, and NOT openly acknowledge the feelings of fear, sadness and anger, when deep down we know these unwanted feelings are more of what we feel as we navigate day to day life’s ups and downs, and the challenges we face, and the challenges we also place on ourselves because that’s who we are - we’re here to make an impact and difference and in doing so we have all the feelings.
In addition, in our mission to “be happy”, we unknowingly give more time, effort and energy on where we’re not happy and why we’re not happy…giving undue and unwanted, attention on various distracting emotions that appear uninvited at the periphery of our consciousness.
Take a moment to pause and discover how to feel what you’re really feeling in this moment, and what the positive intention is for you behind the emotion.
