Hello, potatoes! Coming out day is a special representative day for the LGBTQ+ community since it is about coming out of the closet! A lot of people who identify as something other than straight and/or cis have a hard time being able to openly be themselves and express their true identity, so this day is supposed to celebrate those who have bravely done so. However, if someone does not feel safe coming out, they obviously do not have to, and today's episode talks a lot about making sure someone is comfortable before they take that giant leap of faith. I also talk a bit about my coming out experience and thankfully it was pretty positive and I continue to live my truth to this day. (In case you have not noticed, I am VERY comfortable expressing that, as I have done so on a public podcast LOL.) I just felt like this week needed to be emphasized with all the current LGBTQ+ issues that are going on so more people can be educated, but I will definitely be back with more random topics and funny stories in the upcoming episodes.
