First off, I'm sorry for the horrible audio quality today. I did not realize that my phone speaker was not facing the microphone on my laptop until I went back and listened, but honestly we were talking about so many random things that they were probably not that much decipherable anyways lol. I understand that many people are panicking because of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, so I hope this episode was helpful in getting riled about the unfortunate racial hatred but also in calming down a little bit after knowing that things will be okay. Hello, potatoes! I took a mini break because I was outrageously sick a few days ago and just slept for a couple of days. I also did not want to be one of those people who kept saying they were working on something but cannot say anything until it is about to release, so I am now back to announce that I am starting a YouTube channel! I know it is not super special, but I really wanted to push myself creatively for 2020 for my new year's resolutions. I thought being able to do this podcast was essentially my version of creativity for 2019, so let's do a video format of this and spice it up a bit!  I am beyond excited to start doing one video and one episode per week, and I hope to deliver consistent content for all of you who have supported me by listening so far. :) Thank you from the bottom of my heart. <3

Hello, potatoes! Seemingly for the first time ever, I am giving advice about something that every junior is probably dreading to do for their upcoming senior year: applications. Currently, I am working on my National Honor Society application, which is an organization of students promoting "Scholarship, Leadership, Service, or Character" and pretty selective in its applications. With my small amount of expertise in applying for honor societies and leadership positions, I give three (3) candid advice on an application like this one for NHS but can be applicable to any. Just remember that this does not define you and you are worth way more than what someone thinks about the paper version of you. :)

So I decided to get a brand new hair cut and feel a little transformation after feeling a little mundane for the last few weeks. Hello, potatoes! Yesterday was Valentine's Day, so hopefully all of you love birds enjoyed each other's company. If you are a single pringle or in a "complicated" relationship status (like me LOL), then hopefully you also spent the day just treating yourself, which is equally as important! I actually had Valentine's Day off for a teacher work day and will also have President's Day off on Monday, meaning I have a four-day weekend. I was planning on visiting some friends back in Alabama, but my dad said no so I am trying to look for some activities I can do instead. I also ended up talking about earning money through essays and also saving money? Quite an interesting episode that I hope you enjoyed :)

Hello, potatoes! A hot topic at the moment is about gender inequality and how the hypermascuinity/hyperfemininity plays into the societal standards of what a man or woman should be like. The TedxTalk by Justin Baldoni is fantastic at explaining the toxic masculinity that is sometimes embedded, and I think everyone should be aware of those underlying issues. I also wanted to mention how non-binary genders come into play, and Sage Skyler does an awesome job explaining this idea of transitioning for non-binary peeps. I specifically use my own journey as an example: I used to think that for me to be truly an enby, I had to be super masculine to counteract that fact that I was AFAB. I realized that femininity is simply a way I like to express myself but does not make me any less of an enby that I truly am.
