Known as Palazzo Canavari, after the name of its designer, Raffaele Canevari, the building housed the National Geological Museum until 1995 and was also the seat of the Geological Office, as can still be read from the large inscription on the façade in Largo di Santa Susanna (edited by Federica Sbrana).
