Would you take someone out on a first date and propose to them?

Of course not, that would be crazy… you need to get to know each other and build a relationship before you start thinking about marriage.

Wait.. why am I talking about dating, aren’t I supposed to be the ‘business guy’?

Before you ask, no… The Entourage isn’t moving in a new direction.

The reason I’m talking about dating is because how you turn strangers into paying customers online almost directly mimics the dating process.

Trying to get an audience, who have NO idea who your business is, to buy from you online is the dating equivalent of skipping the drinks and flowers, and going straight in with an engagement ring.

Unfortunately, too many business owners make this mistake, and then wonder why their Facebook ads aren’t working, or why their websites aren’t generating enough leads.

So the question remains… How do we turn strangers into customers and get them to a point where they’re not only buying from us, but getting their friends to buy from us too?
