Today's guest is Kyesha Jennings who is a friend from graduate school! She's an absolutely brilliant Hip-Hop scholar, freelance journalist, content director of the North Carolina Arts Council, & she's a new mom. As a multi-passionate creative, who is a storyteller at heart no matter what she's doing, Kyesha transitioned out of academia/being a professor and into a whole new workspace because she wanted something fresh! One of my favorite parts of Kyesha's story is that she was presented with an amazing opportunity that she knew she couldn't pass up for many reasons. She's proof that it's possible to pivot, your skills do transfer, you can figure it out as you go, and you don't have to be defined by just one passion or role.
