After a holiday break, we are back to talk our Christmas/New Years celebrations and catch up on basketball. We focus on 2 teams this week for our Spin Cycle segment: the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks, who are both contenders at the top of the Eastern Conference.

In this episode we talk about about the Lakers taking home the first NBA In-Season Tournament trophy and the spectacle that was the IST in general. Then, we give 10-15 nominations for album of the year and deliberate to get down to our official top 5 ranking before talking about the impressive run that the Dallas Mavericks have been on.

This week we overcame many technical difficulties to record our 50th episode! We discuss our picks for both the Eastern Conference and Western Conference quarterfinals of the In-Season Tournament, and try to predict who could take the whole thing. Then we spend some time talking about a real contender for the first time in our Spin Cycle segment before giving our Boban and Carl Wheezer of the week.

This week we dive into a few teams streaking in different directions: the Orlando Magic who have now won 7 straight, and the Detroit Pistons who somehow haven't won a game in almost a month. After that we spend some time discussing the Utah Jazz at length, and try to diagnose the slow start to their season so far. In this episode, we hone in on the streaking Oklahoma City Thunder and the young players that will lead them to contention over the next couple of seasons before we discuss the San Antonio Spurs for our Spin Cycle segment. The spurs are currently on an 8-game losing streak while boasting the most exciting young basketball prospect in the word in Victor Wembanyama. How is this possible? In this briefer episode, Andy and Jason talk through some of the early season storylines, who has pleasantly surprised and who has been a disappointment so far? We talk Wemby/Scoot, the recent James Harden Trade and go into a lot of depth highlighting the Orlando Magic's great 4-2 start to the season in the Spin Cycle segment.

NBA Basketball is back! Andy and Jason finish off their season preview by predicting who will win all of the main awards this year, including: Most Valuable Player, Defensive Player of the Year, Most Improved Player and more. Then we debate how the top 15 players in the league shakes out at this point which led to some hot takes. Then we finished it off with game picks and the Spin Cycle segment to see which team we'll take a deep dive on this week.
