I tried, I did, but this week got away from me and somehow we got on the topic of TV remotes and Bob Ross. There was some chatting about The Karate Kid in there I swear... just not a ton of it and not all together.

This week we break down this beloved 1986 'Flight of the Navigator' goodness with Kayla's favorite Uncle - Beef. We are also schooled on "Hot Jeff" which we didn't know was a thing.

This time on our walk through the cheese that is the '80s we venture into the 1986 robotic goodness of Short Circuit! Sean laments a perfectly good Firebird being 'disassembled' and his love for the Chevy Astrovan, Jake wonders at how much they spent on effects and La thinks this is basically a live-action Wally.

We continue the '80s John Cusack and Steve Holland madness with the 1986 offering of 'One Crazy Summer' this time on the cheese. Yep, it's Nantucket's finest yacht race, girls who are just plain trouble, and a Teddy Bear that La spotted right away. Throw in a little teenage shoe shaming and a new top 40's B '80s song that's on La's mind and you've got a show!

This time out we cover the cult '80s offering of Better Off Dead. That's right imaginary perfect women, burgers that pull, and unrelenting paper boys and all this 1985 gem is probably La's favorite movie we've watched thus far!

Join our gang as we mostly stay on topic for close to an entire hour before we run off the rails while we review the 1988 Classic Die Hard. Yes that most '80s of '80s action movie that would forever change the way Christmas time film is judged by. La has a lot to say about this one but just be glad you aren't stuck in the tower with her - she will leave you. 

We go back and take a look at 1984's Gremlins this week! Sean had never seen the movie before, La loves Gizmo and Jake wishes this one stayed in his memory as some things just don't hold up as well as you think.

In what is going to work out to be our very late Christmas arc we start off with National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation! Honestly, what Sean started off with is Kayla yelling at Chevy Chase the entire movie and not really getting what was going on. However, the bright spot for La wound up being little Leonard.

We revisit Doc and Marty with the 1989 classic smash hit 'Back To The Future Part II'. That's right, it's flying cars and Biff's world this time out on that cast and La is totally digging it! Join us for the last Cheesy 80's Movie Review cast of 2022!

First off, I have no right to party with the Crystal Method here but it was just too cool to salute The Crystal Method who was in turn saluting The Dark Crystal. Just saying, the narration was pretty sweet here despite what Jake may tell you. Oh yeah ya'll, its the Dark Crystal and all that that implies, and I am here for it!
