A young woman named Lucie Miller suddenly appears in the TARDIS, sent by the Time Lords for the Doctor to protect, without the Doctor’s consent. In a failed attempt to take her home, Lucie and the Doctor arrive on a human colony that has been ravaged by recent asteroid strikes. The people of the colony are looking for a savior, and their acting President believes she’s found it: a (supposedly) benevolent species known as the Daleks.
