Hello Humans! Welcome to the 82nd Show housed in “The Human Theatre”.
Today’s conversation sits at the intersection of art, trauma, storytelling and truth.
I’m joined by my friend Aimee Mica Komorowsky — a performer and writer whose play Sarajevo is based on the siege of Sarajevo in 1992… a tragically forgotten piece of our world history.
We talk about the physical and psychological endurance required to be a performer, why theatre is one of the most under-appreciated pillars of health, and how art becomes a vehicle for metabolising collective trauma when institutions fail to tell the truth. And right at the end, Aimee gets granular with her top tips for aspiring writers and actors.
