86. Love and Limits: Setting Boundaries and Building Healthy Relationships in Recovery

Listen Later

In this episode, I’m opening up about my journey in recovery—the highs, the lows, and the growth in between. Life doesn’t stop when we’re healing, and I’ve been learning firsthand how to keep my podcast going amid big life changes, all while staying connected to my recovery community and leaning on the support of my sponsor. Recovery isn’t something I can do alone, and in this conversation, I’ll share how the strength I’ve found in sponsorship and connection has made a world of difference on my path.
Relationships are one of the biggest challenges and rewards in recovery, and I’m getting real about how I’m learning to communicate openly, be emotionally vulnerable, and set the boundaries I need to stay healthy. Relationships aren’t always easy, especially when you’re figuring out who you are and what you need from others, so I talk about my personal experiences with balancing my needs and respecting my partner’s, too. This journey of discovering myself has been as challenging as it’s been empowering, and I’m sharing the lessons I’ve learned along the way.
Service has been another game-changer in my recovery, and I’ll discuss how giving back and supporting others in their journey has become a powerful tool for my own growth and healing. It’s incredible how much giving back fills me up and keeps me grounded. If you’ve ever wondered about what it means to find purpose through service, or if you’re navigating complex relationships and looking to understand yourself better, I hope this episode speaks to you.
Thanks for joining me on this journey of self-discovery, emotional growth, and empowerment. I’m glad to have you here, and I hope my experiences can offer insight, hope, or just a reminder that none of us are alone on this path.
Keep coming back. It works if you work it, and you are worth it!
