Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) spoke with WCBS Newsradio 880 Anchor Joe Avellar live Saturday morning. He claims despite the deep partisan divide, the two parties agree on the major issues - DACA, the children's health insurance program or chip and defense spending, among them. The White House seeks a large increase in Defense spending. CHIP was included in the funding bill that stalled in the Senate last night. All but five Democrats voted against a short-term deal; they were all from states President Trump carried in the 2016 presidential election.
