Hi and welcome to episode 89 of the studio insider art podcast. It’s a new season and it’s also ADHD awareness month, so I’m kicking off with something that I haven’t done for a really long time- a solo episode.
I’ve been pretty open about my journey with ADHD of late, but what I’ve not talked about much on the podcast is my journey with other aspects of my mental health such as anxiety, insomnia and depression. And the truth is, that the two are very related and intertwined.
So, I’m sharing really transparently with you today about what my mental health journey has looked like, the treatments I’ve explored, and how my recent diagnosis of ADHD has brought a tonne of clarity to my overall mental health picture.
I feel really nervous about sharing this so openly with you, but I know it’s this kind of transparency that can help others the most. This episode won’t be for everyone, but I know that there will be a few people out there that will probably hear something they really needed to.
I also just need to say, this is a personal story. I’m not a medical professional and this episode is not medical advice. I hope it’s helpful.
In this episode, I talk about:
