A warm welcome back to Bali-based Joey Fitzgerald, a Balearic-minded producer whose last outing of note appeared on Phil Cooper's Ibiza-based NuNorthern Soul imprint way back in 2022. For this outing on Citizens of Vice, he delivers two fresh cuts, each accompanied by a stellar remix. Of the former, opener 'Coast Along' is simply gorgeous, with sun-bright guitar motifs, glassy-eyed vocals and detailed percussion rising above lolloping beats and a warming bassline, while 'Analog Swell' is a jazz guitar-laden Balearic dub disco shuffler of epic proportions. Idjut Boys member Dan Tyler does a good job in stretching out, dubbing out and lightly reframing 'Coast Along' for the dancefloor, while Sheffielder Yarni delivers a deliciously slow-motion, effects-laden Balearic dub revision of 'Analog Swell'.
