In Jan of 1996, 9-year-old Amber Hagerman went on an innocent bike ride. 8 minutes later... she was gone. She was abducted and murdered in Arlington, Texas. This case was the inspiration for the Amber Alert. A system that alerts the public of an abducted minor.
