Hello to all Travel Think Share podcast listeners!
Tonight I am in Krakow. On the way to my place of residence, I have to transfer to another train, and I decided to use the free time for a short acquaintance with the night city.
The ancient capital of Poland, now a major business and cultural center, this city does not sleep at night. It's two o'clock in the morning, and the main square of the Main Market is as noisy as daytime. Night clubs are open, the streets are full of people. It is mainly youth, of course, the basis of life.
While on the train, I quickly found three places that can be visited at night in Krakow. In addition to the main square, I also chose the Wawel Royal Castle and Planty, a park with alleys in the center of the city.
All three places are within a 20-minute walk from the main train station. I came here on foot. First I found Wawel Palace. I liked the atmosphere there. Quietly. The palace is located above the Vistula River. People who go there are mainly couples in love who have long love conversations. The palace itself is large and beautiful. A high wall surrounds the entire area around the palace. I even managed to think there.
The second place is Planty, it seemed empty to me, although there were some passers-by, or those who were sitting on the benches.
And finally, the main square. Here, in addition to Polish, I also hear English. The area is large, paved with cobblestones, there are several churches, fountains, bars. I repeat, very noisy.
This concludes my brief overview of Krakow at night.
And a thought for today:
From the movie "Awakening", but I support it: "We all tell stories, because it's a cure for loneliness, and a ticket to society."
