Episode 9 of Into The Nothing is with the blonde bombshell and close mate of mine, Jamey Spiller.
A heads up. Expect a few F-bombs.
Jamey is a mum of five. Business owner. And a real AF home gurl.
She grew up in the country and as a little girl couldn't read or write properly. At 14 she left school to wear her first career hat - as a welder.
In her time, Jamey's been a welder, hair dresser, make up artist, network marketer, master NLP practitioner and hypnotherapist, business coach, she created her own automated platform and built a community and movement.
Yep.
In this podcast we discuss the transformation Jamey experienced from being Jamey 1.0 (pre 2020) to Jamey 2.0 (2021 / current version).
The year 2020 saw everything and everyone getting rocked upside down, shaken and beaten like an egg. And it was no different for this woman.
The invitation from 2020, was for Jamey to unravel.
In her words, the 'shit hit the fan'.
The combination of ... stepping away from her successful business to have her fifth child, dealing with a dodgy business partner, having her relationship with her soulmate hit rock bottom, having the family home get broken into AND experiencing depression after having her baby.
All of this left Jamey feeling like a failure.
Feeling like her business had gone backwards and thinking that things are not going the way they're meant to.
In all of this, Jamey realised that she's been holding the identity of "the one that always had her shit together." Never having a hair out of place.
To then surrendering into the mess of life. Which presented the gift in not having to have 'it all together'. The year 2020 tested her ability to receive, after years of giving to everyone sooo generously.
Jamey's played the role of mum for 21 years and run multiple successful businesses. She is an old soul with a lot of life experience and wisdom.
She drops nuggets like "we'll only do what we believe is possible." Jamey Spiller
More than anything, she's always up for a good laugh.
Jamey 2.0 is how she describes herself now. And we finish off the episode with baby Keir on her boob, chatting about where she's at NOW, how she's feeling and what she's passionate about.
