#9 Trauma, counselling and mentoring young people with Radhika Dattani

Listen Later

In this episode I speak to Radhika Dattanti, Psychodynamic therapist and previously mentorship community leader for young people at risk of offending. We talk about what led Radhika to pursue a life rich in community initiatives in which she has counselled young people for the last decade. We discuss how Radhika and my path crossed more recently and how she helped my own journey in being a mentor.Radhika’s thoughts and reflections are not limited to younger people who might be at a higher risk of offending but can be helpful for anyone, including myself, looking to work on themselves and identify the potential limiting defence systems they have in place.I am in awe of Radhika’s passion and energy for the work she gets involved with. Enjoy listening. Radhika mentions a free service on the podcast if you’re coping with loss/bereavement:http://www.bereavementcareandsupport.co.uk/Connect with me:Follow me on https://www.instagram.com/roshanchhatralia/ (instagram.com/roshanchhatralia/)Follow me on https://www.facebook.com/RoshanChhatralia/ (facebook.com/roshanchhatralia/)Subscribe to the show here and newsletter https://roshanchhatralia.com/podcast (roshanchhatralia.com/podcast)How can I support the podcast?1.      Tell a friend2.      Share online3.      Subscribe and review (subscribing helps more people know by bumping the show up the rankings)4.      Donate – nope.
