90. The Difference Between Self-Care And Holding Space For Yourself

Listen Later

There's a big difference between holding space for yourself and doing your daily self-care practices. Holding space looks different for everybody, but it should always include more grace, more love, and more compassion for yourself. In the most loving way, I want to challenge you to take your self-care practices to the next level so you can hold a greater space for yourself.

In this episode, I am talking all about how practicing self-care and holding space for yourself differ. Tune in to learn why it’s your responsibility to expand the space in your life, how this inner work positively reflects the service you provide our clients, and why holding space might look different for everyone, but the goal is still the same.

”So many of us just do the self-care practices. We wake up, we journal, we do all the things. But not enough of us are holding space for ourselves as we navigate and expand our consciousness and grow our business. A lot of us are very focused on the doing and the masculine tasks of what it means to run a business, what it means to support others, what it means to grow.” - Carissa Johnsen
