Let go, trust, transcend, lead. These four words hold immense power and significance in our journey towards personal and collective growth. Today, I delve into the importance of embracing these principles in order to navigate the current energetic shifts and step into a new paradigm of leadership and life.
We often hold onto things that are good, but not necessarily great. This episode encourages you to release anything that no longer serves your highest purpose and step into a new chapter that is more aligned with your authentic self. It's time to shed old beliefs, patterns, and relationships that no longer support your growth and embrace a life built on the foundation of the heart.
The collective energy has been undergoing a major shift, with a focus on clearing out karma, ancestral trauma, and fear-based beliefs. Join me as we explore the importance of recognizing and releasing these deeply ingrained patterns that hold us back from reaching our full potential. By doing so, we can create space for new possibilities and pave the way for a more empowered and transcendent leadership journey.
I also share some exciting news about the future of the show! I can't stress enough how impactful this episode is, and I truly believe it will resonate with many of you. If you're ready to let go, embrace change, and deepen your self-awareness, this episode is a must-listen. Memorable Quotes
"It requires a lot of courage to let go of something that's good in order to receive what is magnificent, what is great, what wants to come through, but you don't have it in your hand yet." [00:10:21] – Carissa Johnsen
"And when you're calm, you can hear the voice of your heart. You can hear the voice of your soul. Memorable Quotes
"My former lover and I broke up. And that then started this deep path of me, learning to come back to myself. And that was a three, four year journey. And that was lots of trials and tribulations in terms. And on that journey is when I realized, doing the work is hard to understand yourself, like really learning to understand yourself. There's so much noise and there's so many different opinions and there's so many different tools." [00:16:08] – Raj Jana
"It reminds me of how important working with our nervous system is and really understanding ourselves. versus just, oh, the surrender thing, I'm going to quit my job and trust all the things. I mean, you could do that, but also what is that going to cost you in terms of how regulated you are? I know so many people want to do big things in the world and then just put themselves in such a stressful state, thinking that they're taking risks, or they're taking action and end up really becoming unregulated and emotionally unstable." Memorable Quotes
"It's what makes us human. And when we can peel back that layer and really be seen and witnessed in that, we can dissolve the shame around it. When we hear other women speaking, what's going on for them, we're like, oh, okay, we're a lot more similar than I thought. And that's where a lot of the deep healing can happen." [00:06:40] – Amy Natalie
"I think that when I say like safety is cultivated from within, it really is about being in the body. And a lot of the work that I do is around embodiment because our nervous system lives in our body. Our intuition lives in our body. Our truth lives in our body. And in our culture, we're so living from the neck up." [00:28:09] – Amy Natalie

Scarcity is often seen as a negative and undesirable state to be in. It is associated with lack, limitation, and a sense of not having enough. However, in today’s episode, I challenge this perception and suggest that scarcity can actually teach us self-love. Scarcity is not primarily about money and material possessions, but rather about our beliefs and mindset.
Through my own experiences and insights, I’ll be sharing how scarcity can be a catalyst for personal growth and transformation. By embracing scarcity and understanding its role in our lives, we can extract valuable lessons and transform our relationship with wealth and abundance.
This episode is particularly special to me because it reminds us that success is not solely defined by external factors such as money or material possessions. Rather, it is about finding ease, peace, and joy in the present moment. It's an inside job that requires us to work on our emotional well-being and personal growth. When we focus on our emotional and nervous system capacity, we can create sustainable success in all areas of our lives.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this episode. Please feel free to share your feedback in your stories, emails, or even with a friend through a text message. Your support means the world to me, and it helps us spread these empowering messages to a wider audience.
Key Takeaways
[00:01:51] Seasons of growth and ease.
[00:04:28] Scarcity and money mindset.
[00:09:08] Resonance with toxic relationships.
[00:14:30] Scarcity and not feeling enough.
[00:19:37] Success is an inside job.
[00:21:07] Redefining success and finding peace.
[00:26:38] Self-love in moments of scarcity.
[00:30:20] The power of resonance.
[00:34:21] The well-roundedness of all of your life.
[00:37:25] Scarcity and personal growth.
Memorable Quotes
"Scarcity has taught me that I was believing that I am not enough, that I will never have enough and no one else will also be enough for me. So, whether that's in partnership, whether that's in my coaching relationships, whether that's with my parents, it has shown up for me in a way of seeing the world through the lens of scarcity, seeing that the belief system that was operating was of not enough.” [00:14:30] – Carissa Johnsen
"I am a success because I claim that I am because I know that I am. Why my definition of success was so warped is because it was so tied to money." [00:20:49] – Carissa Johnsen

Did you know that my name, Carissa, actually means grace? Grace is not just a word; it's a frequency, a way of being. It's about living a graceful life, sharing gracefully, and embodying that energy in all aspects of our lives. When we tap into grace, everything feels peaceful and aligned. It's a journey of reconnecting with our soul wisdom and finding peace within ourselves. Success, to me, is synonymous with peace. If we are at peace, we are succeeding. Let's rewrite our version of success and allow old paradigms to crumble.
In this week's episode, I dive deep into the profound concept of grace. Our journey towards experiencing our truest divinity and living from the heart space continues, and I can't wait to share these incredible insights with you all. Remember, the heart is the medium, the bridge between worlds. It's not something we find in the mind but rather awaken in the heart. As we listen to our hearts and get curious about grace, we tap into its transformative power. Let's explore what comes alive within us and embrace this beautiful journey of self-discovery.
In these transformative times, living a graceful life becomes even more crucial. As we navigate the changes and challenges that lie ahead, sharing grace with one another and embodying that frequency will be our guiding light. Let's remember what is most important to us and embrace the power of grace in our daily lives. Together, we can create a more peaceful and graceful world.
If you're ready to invite grace into your life and leadership, I invite you to listen to this episode now!
Key Takeaways
[00:01:06] Grace and its significance.
[00:06:41] Asking for grace.
[00:07:19] Embody grace and offer love.
[00:11:09] The reciprocity of grace.
[00:12:35] Grace is the bridge to love.
[00:18:40] Making space for grace.
[00:21:33] Living in the space of grace.
[00:24:09] Success defined as peace.
Memorable Quotes
"Grace is the antidote for accessing love. Because sometimes it's hard to go from “I'm angry” to “I’m loving”. And if we can't access that state of consciousness, if we can't access that belief, if we can't tap into that, I think grace becomes the river, the water, the buoyancy, the boundlessness, the raft that we take on our journey to arriving at love.” [00:12:35] – Carissa Johnsen
"How do I receive this frequency? How do I embody this in my life? The truth is you have to make space for it. It's part of the reason why I've been pausing every three hours, four or three minutes, because space cannot, Grace cannot enter a full cup." [00:17:13] – Carissa Johnsen

I am back recording in my home space, bringing you the raw and vulnerable moments of my life! Tune in as I open up about the challenges I face in finding the balance between sharing my journey with you all and keeping some aspects of my life private.
In this week's episode, I dive deep into two simple yet powerful concepts that have radically changed the trajectory of my life: forgiveness and divine timing. I share my personal journey of growing up with resentment and how I have learned to release it through forgiveness. Remember, forgiveness not only liberates us from the past but also allows us to see the miracles and love in every single thing.
I also explore the beauty of divine timing and the surrender it requires. Life is a journey, and sometimes we find ourselves going through challenging seasons. However, it's crucial to trust in the divine timing of it all. By surrendering to the process and having the courage to face our raw and vulnerable moments, we can come out on the other side stronger and wiser.
Lastly, I explore the essence of transcendent leadership itself. It's a beautiful blend of humility, vulnerability, and the courage to walk this path with grace. As leaders, it's crucial to recognize that we are human too, and by embracing our own humanity, we can create a safe and authentic space for others to do the same.
I am beyond excited to share these insights and experiences with you all! This episode is a testament to the incredible growth and transformation that can occur when we open ourselves up to the power of forgiveness and divine timing.

Memorable Quotes
"And it really reminds me of the state the statement like, ‘you can forgive but never forget.’ Why would we not want to forget it? Why would we not want that imprint to be dissolved? Why would we not want it to be rid ourselves of it? I want to forget these things, that doesn't mean that I didn't extract the lesson which I think is the ultimate higher purpose.” [00:10:59] – Carissa Johnsen
"Everything is a miracle. I am literally walking in a living miracle. That’s what forgiveness gives you. You get to see the miracle, the divinity, the love in every single thing." [00:28:58] – Carissa Johnsen

Today, I want to dive deep into a topic that hits close to home for many of us - family.
Family dynamics shape personal growth in profound ways. Our families are the first and most influential social systems we encounter, and they play a significant role in shaping our beliefs, values, and behaviors. This episode highlights the transformative power of family dynamics and the lessons they offer.
I’m sharing my personal experiences and the profound lessons I've learned while visiting my family in Illinois. Spending time with loved ones or family gatherings can often be triggering and bring up deep-seated wounds and challenges. But here's the beautiful paradox – being with family also offers the deepest and greatest medicine for healing and transformation. We'll explore how confronting these triggers can ultimately lead to healing and growth, not just within ourselves, but also in our relationships with others.
I invite you to join me as I explore the power of healing within our families and the impact it can have on our lives. Discover how taking responsibility for our own healing can lead to profound shifts in our relationships with loved ones. As we heal ourselves, we often witness a cellular-level transformation in our family dynamics.
Remember, how we lead ourselves and our families is the greatest form of leadership. By cultivating awareness and truth within ourselves, we can uncover areas where we may be avoiding healing, judging, or projecting onto our family members. This self-reflection will provide valuable insights into our own healing journey and deepest transformation.
Key Takeaways
[00:04:18] Rewriting my definition of success.
[00:05:22] Family dynamics shape our paths.
[00:06:09] Authenticity and ancestral healing.
[00:13:28] Ancestral healing heals ourselves and our family.
[00:14:28] Healing within your family.
[00:17:25] Healing starts with self-awareness.
[00:19:06] Healing within family dynamics.
[00:20:31] Healing is a gradual process.
Memorable Quotes
"And once I realized that the healing is my responsibility and that I am not obliged or responsible for changing anyone else, it gave me a sense of relief. And not only did it give me a sense of relief, but as I went deeper with my own healing, my family started to change on a cellular level and the way that I relate to them also changed.” [00:15:27] – Carissa Johnsen
"There's been a restructuring of DNA within all of us. This is why when we talk about healing on the collective level, it starts with us because we are all created from the same source. We are all made of the same fabric. So, as I heal, my healing is your healing. We are raising the consciousness of the entire collective one by one, breath by breath, heart by heart, ceremony by ceremony." [00:17:21] – Carissa Johnsen

There’s a misconception that personal growth and self-actualization only involve focusing on one's strengths and discarding or ignoring the darker aspects of oneself. However, the true growth comes from loving and integrating all parts of oneself, including the parts that feel unlovable or socially unacceptable.
In this episode, Carissa had the pleasure of sitting down with the incredible Cameron MacDougall, a Transformational Expert, Coach, Public Speaker, Breathwork Facilitator, and Host of the Ignite You podcast. Together, we explored some edgy but incredibly important topics that will surely resonate with anyone seeking inspiration, personal growth, and a deeper understanding of transcendent leadership. We discuss the power of sexuality, exploring altered states, and the importance of open conversations about personal development and self-help.
One of the fascinating aspects we explore in this episode is the concept of "too muchness."
