Magic Rock asked us to review some of their beers, naturally we said yes. 

In the first of 3 episodes exploring the Huddersfield based brewer's offerings, we give their session IPA 'Saucery' and Gooseberry Gose 'Salty Kiss' the once over. 

With outdoor drinking in pubs back in full swing we discuss the differences between a pub and tap room. Is one better than the other? Are they the same thing?

In the latest episode Glenn and Lyall taste their way through a Beer52 subscription box and discuss if buying beer in this way is really worth it? Mike remains off the juice and is trying some craft no/lo offerings from Big Drop and their latest World collab series. Our second brewer in focus episode, this week we give 4 beers from the Thornbridge stable the treatment. The new 90% rating system is unveiled and Glenn attempts to say lager yeast.

Every now and again we are going to do an episode completely off script, zero prep and just see what dark path we wander down. This is the first of those episodes. 

What started off with a chat about the current state of pubs mutated into some light dry January bashing, a discussion around the Scandinavian penchant for for sour beers amongst other mad brews, Lyall channels Bill Bailey and could you really have a breakfast stout for breakfast?

For our festive/New Year episode we decide to design our perfect pub. 

We miss the pub! To celebrate the holidays we decide to build our dream drinking establishment. The perfect location, the beers, food menu and the all important bar snacks all get the treatment. SPOILER...pigs in blankets are not a bar snack.
