  • 24th podcast with Mazadu
We would like to welcome back Mazadu for his second mix for the podcast! My name is Mazadu. I've been Djing for 3 years now. I am from Los Angeles, which is where I got my start in the DJ world. Me and a friend of mine became interststed in Djing when we would go to underground raves and ware house parties in Downtown LA. One day we just picked up a dj controller and started mixing. My first few times djing was at these small functions in downtown. They were mostly underground hiphop functions so thats what i was spinning. My passion was always in EDM though. It took me a while to find a genre that fit me but I discovered bass house/G house and that changed everything. For my signature Mazadu sound, I throw in some vintage 80s/90s sounds along with modern day house sounds. Ive been inspired by a wide range of music such as punk, hiphop, soul, EDM etc that has helped shape my sound and theme.

  • 23rd podcast with E.R.G.
Efren R. Gutierrez A.K.A. E.R.G. has always been influenced by the electronic music scene. Inspired by acts such as The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim and The Crystal Method he has always been close to the electronic music scene. It was not until the year 2006 that he began to Dj. With the electro scene moving in he began to explore genres. It was 2007 when E.R.G. started producing music. He started making minimal so he could understand the basics of production. Afterwards he started producing Electro and Breakbeat which made him start to develop his sound. #915podcast

  • 22nd podcast with Julian (El Paso Knows How To Party)
Julian is 20 and from El Paso.He doesn't mix, but promotes music, events and anything from El Paso, Las Cruces and Juarez. He started to like to promote the Borderland when he saw other El Paso Knows How To Party accounts on instagram doing nothing and were just there. He also had friends in school say that El Paso is boring and theres nothing to do, so he wanted to show EP what there was to do. He also saw this account on Instagram called Fitfamelpaso only show all the stupid stuff in El Paso like for example peoples feet, mustangs crashing and just dumb stuff, so he wanted to be the good El Paso account. His mix is a mix of nothing but local El Pasoans songs. Hope you enjoyLove Julian

  • 18th podcast with Mylo
Im originally from Connecticut, been in el paso for at least 3 years, working for the military. I originally started djing when I was around 13 years old. I used to have Virtual DJ in my computer and i would always try to mix old Tiesto music, when he used to produce trance music, but I never really had any hardware to mix on, after many years later. Exactly 2 years ago I decided to buy my first dj controller and really learn how to mix music. The name Mylo comes from my second name, caMILO, I just decided to add a Y instead. I have performed in Tha Spot here in el paso as well as Kloud Hooka Bar. I currently work as a DJ in Garcia's House of Boxing. So yea, I hope with this set you guys are able to see im all about full on energy and dance music. Thanks! #915podcast

  • 17th podcast with Absolution
I started to dj when i was in high school but didn't see my first gig till i was in college. My first time playing in front of a crowd was at a house party but that eventually led me to my first venue, the groovy smoothie. I would dj there almost every weekend along with bands and other musicians. I've been lucky enough to play at venues across el paso such as Kloud, Rubiks, and El Passion Music and arts fest; as well as in other cities such as Austin, San Marcos, Dallas, and Las Vegas. I currently don't belong to any collectives or groups. For this set I decided to do something different from what I usually do and went with a deep house set. #915podcast
