đźš« 1. Christian-Sounding Lies We Tell Ourselves
“I’m being patient and waiting on God.”
→ But it’s been 3 years and no action. Is it obedience or avoidance?
“God hasn’t released me yet.”
→ Or have you just not taken the first step?
“I don’t want to turn my gift into a business.”
→ Why not? Isn’t the laborer worthy of her wages? (Luke 10:7)
“I just want to serve; I don’t need to get paid.”
→ That sounds holy, but you can’t serve well if you’re exhausted, under-resourced, or in survival mode.
✝️ 2. The Difference Between Humility and Hiding
True humility submits your gift to God—not the fear of man.
False humility says: “Who am I?”
God says: “You are my workmanship.” (Ephesians 2:10)
If God gave you a gift and you’re not using it, that’s not reverence. That’s rebellion wrapped in insecurity. (Ouch, I know.)
đź’° 3. Why Financial Increase Isn't Unholy
God never equated poverty with holiness.
Proverbs is full of wisdom about diligence, multiplication, and stewardship.
You’re not meant to hoard wealth—but you are meant to create, manage, and multiply resources so you can bless others.
God is your Source. Money is just a tool. Don’t confuse the two.
🔥 4. How to Stop Gaslighting Your Gift
Call it what it is. Fear. Doubt. Misbelief. Then repent and renew your mind.
Start taking faith-led action—even small steps.
Shift your language:
From → “I’m not ready.”
To → “I’m showing up while I grow.”
Surround yourself with truth-tellers who will lovingly call out your excuses.
Invite God to rewire your thoughts about business, wealth, and calling.
Journal this:
What have I been calling “spiritual” that is actually rooted in fear?
Where have I gaslit my gift, and what’s one step I can take this week to show up in bold obedience?
