95. How To Make Decisions Without Feeling 100%

Listen Later

There's a lot of pieces that come with making a decision. You can feel uncertainty, confusion, and even fear. But you can also feel hope, acceptance, and relief. As you navigate this journey of life, it’s essential to understand that you will have to make decisions that you don't feel 100% certain about. It’s less of what you're walking away from and more of what you are walking into.

In this episode, I am talking about the mindset behind making decisions even when you don’t feel 100% about them. Making decisions is hard, especially when you aren’t sure of the outcome. So I want to speak on why the best decision and the right decision aren’t always the same, how to view every decision as learning opportunities, and why, sometimes, you just need to buckle up and decide.

Quote

“I believe in analyzing things. I believe in reflection. I believe in weighing things out the cost-benefit analysis of whatever you're navigating. But I also believe that there comes a point where you just have to decide.  You have to say, I don't know for sure. But I feel like this is right. And I'm going to trust that if it's not right, I'll be led to the path that is right for me.”  - Carissa Johnsen
