Recording Artist, Event Host Slum the Resident is a Los Angeles Rapper who was born and raised in the 90026 area also known as Echo Park. He started in about 1992, he started freestyling and back in ‘04 was when he started writing lyrics. His music gives a harsh but real glimpse into Life in Echo Park before gentrification. But also depicts the many blessings and challenges he had to overcome throughout his career.

Recording Artist $Profit$ is an up and coming rapper out of San Diego California. He takes his artistry very seriously and has created great music. He has been rapping for close to 3 years and performed in 7 different states and collaborated on 7 celebrity features.

Egypt “Ify” Ufele is a 16-year-old fashion designer, an anti-bullying activist and the founder of Chubiline and Bully Chasers.

Egypt has been profiled by the New York Times, Teen Vogue, People and other major US publications for her achievements in the fashion industry and for BullyChasers—the charity she launched to end bullying.

It wasn’t always a kind and gentle world for the amiable teen. “I was bullied and called names in school,” she says, recounting incidents of being punched in the back and having her finger dislocated. “One time, a boy stabbed me with a pencil.”

She is CEO of Chubiiline, a plus-size fashion line specializing in styles for curvy women, catering to sizes 00 to 26. “If someone comes to my rack, they’ll never hear the words, ‘We don’t have anything for you,’” says Egypt, who also designs for men, children and puppies.

At age five, “I began helping my grandmother by pushing the pedals on her sewing machine,” she told Africa Renewal in an interview. At 10, she was the youngest designer to feature at New York Fashion Week.

Chris is a worship leader by day and a drag queen by night. He grew up singing in the church because his mom was a Pentecostal preacher, but being gay, he never quite felt he could express his true self until he discovered drag. His drag persona is a gorgeous sassy woman named Nedra Belle. He performs weekly at the West End Lounge, hosting and singing live. Two years ago he had the opportunity to sing for Jennifer Hudson at a party for her Broadway show "The Color Purple," and she threw a shoe at him, which coming from their church background is the ultimate compliment.

A daughter of immigrant parents, Nathalia was raised to understand the benefit of a strong work ethic. Her father, William, migrated with his family from Cuba to the Bronx at a young age and started his own business painting apartments in his late teens to help his father support the family. William started his business and began his career in Morris Park. Nathalia’s mother, Sonia, came to the United States from Colombia and found her home in the neighborhood of Bedford Park.

The Bronx has always been a home away from home for Nathalia. Upon graduating from Hofstra University, Nathalia found herself volunteering for change within the Bronx. Nathalia was driven by her compassion for her peers and neighbors, and it was no surprise when she served the 80th Assembly District as chief of staff to former Assemblyman Mark Gjonaj.

During her time in the 80th Assembly District, Nathalia has led numerous projects and initiatives. Under her direction, the Assembly office provided internships and numerous volunteer opportunities to high school and college students, organized events and health care services for seniors and planned numerous community events. Public service became Nathalia’s passion and provided the fulfillment she was seeking in her career.

With her advanced knowledge of state operations and services, Nathalia looks forward to representing the district she calls home and her community as the Assemblymember for the 80th District.

Andreao Heard is a record producer from Greensboro, North Carolina who has produced some of the biggest recording artists in popular music. He produced “Crush on You” for Lil’ Kim and “‘Yall Know'” for Will Smith’s ten million seller “Big Willie Style.” Discovered by Vincent Herbert, Fanatic moved to New York City, where he connected with P. Diddy and became a part of his “Hitmen” production team and produced records for the Notorious B.I.G. and Ma$e. He then produced the song “Heaven Can Wait” for the greatest recording artist of all time, Michael Jackson. Next, he received recognition from the Grammy association for his participation as a producer on Beyoncé’s 2003 GRAMMY Award-winning album “Dangerously in Love,”. Fanatic also contributed as a producer on Anthony Hamilton’s 2013 Grammy nominated album “Back To Love”.
