95bFM: Stage Direction

The great Izzy Robinson popped into the studio to discuss ‘Test Fest’, Basement Theatre’s new festival all about unfinished and in-the-works shows. Raw, pure th-e-a-tre! Looks like a treat. Thanks to Basement Theatre for this week’s Stage Direction.

Laika was baaaaack to discuss plays. A couple of goodies this week: JOB and ASRA: Stories of Palestinian Prisoners. Thanks to Basement Theatre for this week’s Stage Direction.

We had a bonus Stage Direction this week, thanks to Basement Theatre. Vincent Andrew-Scammell came in and talked to us about his one-man show, ‘Oceania 11’. AAAAnnd what a doozy it sounds like. The lad even did all the sound effects himself.

Laika Rountree joined us to discuss some heavy plays shown over the past fortnight: ‘Tape,’ showing at Dolphin Theatre, and ‘Party Conversations’ at Te Pou.

Laika Rountree chatted to us about a couple of shows they’d watched this past fortnight: Auckland Theatre Company’s ‘Macbeth,’ and ‘Memory of a Honey Bee.’

Laika talked with us about a bunch of theatrical goodness: ‘The Stranger,’ ‘OVER AND OUT,’ and more.

We caught up with Laika, who talked about a couple of pretty cracker shows she'd caught over the last couple of weeks: 'We Are The Tigers' and Suzy Eddie Izzard's performance of 'Hamlet.'

Laika Rountree joins Castor, Joel, and Rory for Stage Direction to chat about three productions: Oranges which was on at Basement this week, Constellations at Q Theatre, and Old MacDonald’s Farm at Pumphouse Theatre!

Jordan Walker joined us to talk about ‘Herenga Waka: where we come from,’ a collection of short films he's presenting at Basement Theatre.

Ngā mihi nui Basement Theatre!

Laika joined us for a bit to talk about the latest and greatest in the theatre world. Currently, some very big Bildungsroman vibrations.

Thanks to Basement Theatre.
