November 30, 2021 Universal Harmony: November 30, 2021

Dude. For this ZAMbO-made aural experience we rollerstake in Argentina, watch the girls go by in Mexico, twine the shum in the Ukraine, float down the Amazon and just vibe in India. It's folktronica - fresh and ancient all at once. It's Universal Harmony.

This one's for all the burpee lovers and nappy changing pro's. dr.Snikkers is back on the 'b'; bringing his recent love of drum & bass warped with the usual genre-bend. May it assist you with awareness and moments of reflection, as you get about your day.

Olly's on the mix this week, digging through the hard drive and playing some old favourites and hard-to-find mp3s. Keeping it new age and spacious, with a few detours into guitar-melodrama and some NZ-indie classics. And by classics we're talking 2015 CLASSIC... your seventeen and just snuck into Whammy Bar for the first time...

It's Higher Porpoise for the whole show this week, with Jon Bernais' usual mixed bag. Filmic to start, dirty in the middle and not shy of a few bangers. An emotional carousel that meets you where you are, while reminding you summer is knocking with increasing impatience.

Sick of lockdown? Yes, party down! It's a ZAMbO morphine injection of upbeat moves and grooves to ease the pain. Hush child, what seems to be the problem? Will some Italian disco, French 90's pop, 80's Motown and New Wave cure what ails you? Let me hook you up to my vinyl drip!

It's some atmospheric soundtrack music to get us started, then we'll speed things up and take a trip through the breaksy world. Maybe even a little James Taylor towards the end, just to keep it confusing... Olly's pleased with this one; hopes the crispy vibes get you through this bout of 100% humidity.

This week we welcome our newest member to Universal Harmony, the firstborn son of dr.Snikkers, named Avery "Ace" "Jojo" Johannes Hadfield. To keep it short; he's a keeper!!
Born on the 7th of October, tonight's episode is something of a recording of Avery's first exposure to music. From the very first song he heard, Ashes To Ashes by David Bowie, to the rest, tonight we document some of the soundtrack from his first four days.
Of course, there are maaaaannny amazing tunes on this planet, that could have been played, and these are from the batch that dr.Snikkers happened to select, in the moment, while at the hospital helping and supporting a healthy birth. "I've been feeling drunk on ecstasy since then, welcoming an adorable human into the life we know".
We're also blessed with a 30-minute mix from Jon Bernais, for the Higher Porpoise segment. Jon closes the show with his usual mix of alternative eclectic gold.

Don't you wish right now you could steal away to some beautiful island haven, reclining in style with the tunes of Iron Buttterfly, Quarteto Em Cy, We Five, Jorge Ben Jor and more? Well folks, pull up a deck chair with ZAMbO and pop on Universal Harmony for an accousticly wilding-out trip to paradise! It's a borderless show with songs from around the globe in a folk-rock vein.
