Mother:  
 A young woman goes missing and partial remains are eventually found.  The remains are almost direct from a horror film.

It takes many years and many reports to finally pin down who killed her but due to a closed trial, we will never know the evidence against him.

There may be something in the water though, as its not the first nor the last case, where skinning a body happened in Krakow.
