What is my purpose? Why do I exist? Why did God create me? Finding the right answers to these questions changes everything. Yet, so many of us have such a distorted understanding of our purpose. There is a big difference between those who live their lives trying to earn God's favor and those who live knowing they already have it.

In the New Testament, there is a sentiment that those who belonged to God are estranged from the world. Here at 99, we call ourselves "a church for the rebels and the runaways". We believe that this epithet speaks of our identities as people who belong to God-that in Him, we are rebels and runaways who are alienated from the world.

The cycle of forgetting keeps us in a stuck place. The practice of remembering moves us forward. This week, Morene Chow speaks on the importance of remembering the many ways God has moved in our lives and shares strategies on how we can set up modern day "altars" of remembrance.

San Francisco doesn't need another Sunday Service. It needs a covenant community. This week we dream for what it could be like if we were a church known for nothing else but our love.

What could revival in San Francisco look like? This week, we look back to 1967 during the Summer of Love, where God stirred an unlikely revival in the small neighborhood of Haight-Ashbury. We believe that the God who did it before can certainly do it again.
