Lisa Ivory - President of the greater Fort Laudale Chapter - Jack and Jill of America, Inc., founded in 1938, is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to advocating for all children by creating an environment and providing resources for African-American children to succeed. We discussed The Teen Leadership Conference which serves as a formal opportunity for our teenage officers to continue to develop their leadership skills

Lucia Davis-Raiford President and CEO - Carrie Meek Foundation. Discussed how the organization sponsors and promotes programs in education, housing, health and economic development and is committed to improving the quality of life for all residents of our community. Also discussed the Supporting Safer Communities Grant Program.

Isis C. Roberts - Arts Education manager and Carmen Morris - Theatre Marketing Manager - We discussed the center's 48 year history in Liberty City, all of the classes, arts, music, shows and exhibits that are offered at the center.

Reggie and Rick Da Vibe - Producers - We discussed the stage play that is based on the lives of four friends who build a business empire but started from nothing. We also discussed how a portion of the proceeds will go to scholarships for students in the arts and creative spaces.

Founder Gernald Hawkins Sr. and Co founder Robert Jackson - Fathers MIA provides resources and support for fathers who want to be more active and involved in their children's lives. We also discussed their upcoming "As We Honor You" father/ Daughter and Mother / Son dance and scholarship gala.

We discussed the high prices of housing, food, living with barely any increases in pay, the programs available to Miami Dade residents, and the importance of the Black vote to her reelection.

Shemele Jenkins The Miami Dade County Foster & Adoptive Parent Association is A support group for foster, adoptive, kinship and non relative caregivers and all children they serve. Shemele discussed the foster care system, children in foster care and their upcoming small Easter basket donation drive.

Angine Moss - CEO/ Founder - We discussed how Angine was a victim of molestation by different family members from age 2-8 years old and raped by a trusted family friend at the age of 11. Her lived experiences took her through a lot of turmoil. As an adult, she sought therapy and at that time vowed she was going to take back her life by becoming the (s)hero she needed when she was child!
