9th Region Basketball Show

Listen in on the recap of week one hoops in the 9th Region. From a shootout that took down the defending state champs, to a 50 piece from Newcath’s Rylee Turner, the 9th Region had so much to discuss this week.

The three amigos are back in the saddle this week with Ep. 10 which highlights a few key matchups from Week 10 which was the last week of the 2020-2021 regular season. To close out the episode, the boys run through all the district matchups to give their insight and thoughts as to who they think will be represented in the 2021 9th Region Tournament next week. The boys are back with yet another episode highlighting a few of Week 9’s games and giving a brief recap of the 2021 All “A” Classic State Tournament that was won by the St. Henry Crusaders for the second time in as many years. Also, the boys commentate all of the players around the 9th Region and Northern Kentucky who have scored their 1,000 career point this year including Beechwood’s Scotty Draud who know reigns as the 9th Region’s all-time leading scorer with over 3,046 career points. Wow. To close the episode we have a very special Interview with St. Henry Boy’s Head Basketball Coach Dave Faust who offers his insight on the 2021 season as well as commenting on his favorite phrases of all time. In this weeks episode the boys briefly go over Week 8 scores and recap the first game of the 2021 All “A” Classic Stare Tournament. To round out the episode the crew is joined by St. Henry star forward Wyatt Vieth who opens up about the season thus far, goals for the team, and his future plans at Thomas More. The boys are back after a week break to discuss the scores from Weeks 6 and 7 around the 9th Region. A lot of good games have been played in the last two weeks and the boys give their expert opinions on the results of some of the games as well as commentary on some of the most intriguing matchups this year. To cap off the episode, the boys have an interview with former NCC and Walton-Verona head coach and current St. Henry Assistant Principal Grant Brannen. Grant talks about his life growing up in a basketball family and shares his insight on what he’s seen from the region so far this year.
