Pastor Jeff is sharing about Esther this week, and today, he teaches how she showed wisdom and patience.

Esther 5:8 8 If I have found favor in the eyes of the king, and if it pleases the king to grant my petition and perform my request, may the king and Haman come to the banquet I will prepare for them. Tomorrow I will do what the king has asked.”

This is our second week on Bible Characters from the Old Testament. Last week, we learned about Daniel's life, and this week, we will learn about Esther. Pastor Jeff shares that where you are now is no accident. God has placed you there for a purpose!

Esther 4:14 14 If you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will come to the Jewish people from another place, but you and your father’s family will be destroyed. Who knows, perhaps you have come to your royal position for such a time as this.”

We learned with Pastor Jeff this week that Daniel was wise, patient, humble, obedient, and trustworthy; today, we learn that Daniel was courageous.   Daniel 6:16 16 So the king gave the order, and they brought Daniel and threw him into the lions’ den. The king said to Daniel, “May your God, whom you continually serve, rescue you!”

Join Pastor Jeff as he shares more about Daniel and his character. Today we learn that Daniel was trustworthy.

Daniel 6:4 4 The administrators and satraps, therefore, kept trying to find a charge against Daniel regarding the kingdom. But they could find no charge or corruption, for he was trustworthy, and no negligence or corruption was found in him.

Today, Pastor Jeff shares that Daniel remained obedient even when it was hard.

Daniel 4:19 19 Then Daniel (also called Belteshazzar) was greatly perplexed for a time, and his thoughts terrified him. So the king said, “Belteshazzar, do not let the dream or its meaning alarm you.” Belteshazzar answered, “My lord, if only the dream applied to your enemies and its meaning to your adversaries!

Today Pastor Jeff shares Daniel's character when he showed humility and gave glory to the God in Heaven for allowing him to do the impossible.

Daniel 2:27-28(a) 27 Daniel answered the king, “No wise man, medium, magician, or diviner is able to make known to the king the mystery he asked about. 28 But there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries

 

This week, we will start a new series about Bible Characters from the Old Testament. We will learn from Daniel, David, Joseph, Ruth, Noah, and Esther and be encouraged to live by their example.   This week, we will learn more about Daniel and his wisdom.    Daniel 2:16 16 At this, Daniel went in to the king and asked for time, so that he might interpret the dream for him.

Isaiah 1:18 18 “Come, let’s settle this,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are crimson red, they will be like wool.

Today, in our Golden Rule series, Pastor Jeff reminds us of an essential aspect of forgiveness. In the same way, we repent and ask for forgiveness; we need to forgive others.

Mark 11:25 25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”

Today, Pastor Jeff reminds us once more that when we sin against someone on purpose or accidentally do something that causes them harm, we should apologize and ask for their forgiveness.

Proverbs 28:13 13 Anyone who hides their sins doesn’t succeed. But anyone who admits their sins and gives them up finds mercy.
