Afternoon!
Reconnecting with old friends can be a powerful reminder of the journeys we've taken, and our episode featuring Philippa is a perfect testament to this. I was thrilled to catch up with this admired entrepreneur whose relentless spirit took her from selling sandwiches in Brighton to the bustling streets of New York. Philippa's story is not just one of business acumen but of fearless creativity and resilience, providing inspiration for anyone looking to carve out their own path in life, no matter the obstacles.
Throughout our conversation, Philippa's journey unfolds like a captivating novel filled with major leaps and unexpected turns. From her time managing New York hardcore bikers for live events to organising live photography and fashion events in London, her experiences highlight the power of organization, support, and community. We both reflect on how social media has played a crucial role in maintaining connections, and how these relationships have been instrumental in shaping our respective careers as well as our personal growth.Philippa's entrepreneurial spirit shines through in her candid stories about setting up production companies while balancing the demands of motherhood.
The trials of intellectual property challenges and the corporate competition she faced are enough to daunt anyone, yet Philippa's resilience and adaptability are what truly stand out. As we wrap up the episode, she shares insights into overcoming bankruptcy, embracing change, and finding strength in community support, particularly among women. Her journey from the corporate world to establishing Wild Horse Films, and ultimately relocating to Valencia, is a compelling narrative of reinvention and unyielding spirit.

Whenever I think of my ideal clients, I reach a rather annoying fork in the road. As you can imagine, this doesn’t make for easy marketing of my own business!
I work with Quiet Experts and Extraordinary Entrepreneurs. While they’re very different in outward personality and business models, they often share similar challenges with marketing. Many appear extraverted but are actually ‘introverts in hiding’—reluctant to seem pushy, position themselves as the expert, or appear in your timeline too often.
No matter what fads come and go, one challenge remains: people need to build ‘know, like, and trust’ before buying, especially with ‘high ticket’ offers. This is crucial for experts, authors, speakers, and high-level entrepreneurs who may seem out of reach or even intimidating.
Digital products and services can help build that trust over time. With a steady flow of leads, this approach positions you as an expert and builds a pipeline of future customers who move through your funnel, some reaching the top almost effortlessly. It’s also supportive for introverts who may shudder at the thought of big launches or intense events like ‘5-Day Challenges.’
I've developed a 5-Day Intensive Masterclass called 'Get It Done: From Idea To Launch' which I just tested on two new clients to get their funnels DONE and they loved it.
One of my Quiet Experts who experienced the Masterclass in just ONE DAY, includes Dr. Jane P. Lewis, a Hawaiian Huna and healing expert (outside Hawaii!). She helps female leaders find peace, confidence, and resilience and they love her! I went down to her house to map out her entire funnel for her Secret Art of Huna brand.
Or Nick Winter, a global cement expert who diagnoses structural issues from chunks sent to him to examine. I never thought I'd be working with someone to 'make cement sexy'!
My ‘Quiet Expert’ clients are incredibly diverse—masters of specialties many people haven’t even heard of: piloting superyachts, developing anti-cataract eye drops, growing wheatgrass hydroponically. One even teaches shirt ironing on YouTube!
The other type of client tends to be highly accomplished and well-known but with minimal personal branding or social media presence. For instance, Dodge Woodall, an events expert with his own 30,000+ attendee festival, Bournemouth 7s, had taken a year off social media before we started working together in April 2020. Now, just four short years later, he’s enjoying over 100 million social media views with his ‘Eventful Lives’ podcast.
Each group faces distinct challenges, though they sometimes overlap. Some clients lack a clear marketing funnel or a way to sell online, feeling frustrated that their back-end offers aren’t moving. Others are doing all the things—chasing trends, posting content—yet still not generating leads or sales.
Today, I want to address an issue I see with my Quiet Experts. If you’re reading this and it resonates, maybe this is for you.
Ever feel like you’re putting in the work—creating content, showing up online—yet it feels like you’re just shouting into the void? This is a common struggle, especially for quieter, more introverted experts.
Here’s why it happens: the message doesn’t quite connect on an emotional level. In today’s world, people have endless options, and they’re drawn to content that feels real, relatable, and even a little vulnerable—not just informative.
But here’s the catch: many of us hesitate to show our authentic selves, holding back, worried it’s “too much,” “too personal,” or not “professional” enough. Sound familiar?
What I’ve found is that when you tap into what genuinely excites or challenges you, and bring that into your content, everything shifts. When you speak openly about real experiences or struggles, you’re more likely to spark a connection—and that connection is the bridge from invisibility to engagement.
So, if you’re feeling invisible, it might be time to shift focus a bit. Start by sharing pieces of your journey, your “why,” or what lights you up about your work. Don’t be afraid to let your personality shine. You may be surprised by how many people resonate with your story, your voice.
Some of my most impactful posts that get the most attention are the ones where I talk about big events in my life.
Have you noticed a difference when you share more authentically? I certainly have.
Drop a comment or send me a message if this resonates with you!

What makes you more nervous: going live on your personal profile or on your business page?
Join me as I unpack my unexpectedly nerve-wracking experience of broadcasting live on my personal profile and share an invaluable accountability technique from my former boss, Benny Gray. I’ll reflect on my week's highlights, from insightful interviews and client calls to an enlightening #12minconvo with Engel Jones, a Caribbean dynamo who has conducted over 1,500 such chats.
Plus, I tease an upcoming interview for a virtual summit focused on AI for Business. Listen in for an honest discussion about the power of self-reflection and constructive self-assessment. I’ll talk about the different dynamics of sharing on a personal profile versus a business page and why it’s essential to focus on improvement without falling into the trap of self-criticism.
The episode also covers the successful live recording of my masterclass for Gen X businesswomen, leading to my new three-month intensive mentoring program, the ‘Authority Accelerator Intensive’. Expect a blend of personal insights, professional milestones, and a light-hearted sign-off with a humorous note about ending the recording.

Afternoon!
This week I’ve been - against much protestation - unlocking the secrets to leveraging Facebook groups for business success and I explore how a chance reconnection can open doors to new opportunities.
This week's episode features my small wins in moving my business forward, from landing a masterclass gig and speaking engagements on AI in business, to my enriching experience on Engel Jones' ‘12 Minute Convos’ podcast. This prompted me to go and find the previous episode online to listen to.
Funny when you listen back to something like that and find you managed to sound so normal even though I was only six months into my grieving journey then and still in a lot of emotional pain. I’m sure if you’ve lost a close loved one suddenly, you can relate.
Discover how I'm optimizing my lead magnets with ChatGPT and the hurdles I've faced with ActiveCampaign's price hikes and email limitations. In the Business Program Update and Feedback section, get an inside look at the rollout of my Authority Accelerator program and the strategic funnel designed to guide clients from lead magnets to final offers seamlessly.
I reflect on what's working and what needs tweaking, and invite you to share your own business experiences in the comments. Your input is invaluable and helps shape future episodes, ensuring we all learn and grow together. Don't miss these actionable insights and updates on my business journey!

Afternoon! Join me today as I address a pressing issue some of you have reached out about: the urgent need to make money quickly.
As I wrote a book about it ‘The Money Gym’, it’s not so unusual. Drawing from my personal experiences and a brilliant piece from the AI Marketers newsletter, I explore the concept that you don't make money, you … wait for it … have to earn it.
I discuss the importance of providing value, building products, offering services, and solving problems to generate income. Additionally, I share some actionable insights on leveraging newsletters and engaging with the right audience online to boost your visibility and sales. In this episode, I also highlight the significance of staying top-of-mind for your potential clients and the necessity of making the right offers to the right people.
I'll guide you through strategies to identify where your target audience hangs out online and how to position yourself as an expert in your field. Avoiding corporate clients for quicker results and sharing practical tips on crafting compelling offers, this discussion aims to help you turn your value into earnings effectively and efficiently. Tune in and get ready to change your approach to earning money!
Then, after a quick testimonial from Matthew Moody, who I helped with his campaign social media, we explore entrepreneurial strategies and outreach, starting with the inspiring story of vibrant Facebook groups for entrepreneurs. I share how consistent participation in these groups can lead to meaningful interactions and business growth. Learn about the benefits of scheduled one-to-one sessions, utilizing online diaries for seamless appointments, and the importance of a structured weekly planning system inspired by Stephen Covey's Seven Habits.
Plus, I introduce my book "A Better Entrepreneur," packed with practical lessons for freelancers and small business owners.Listen in as we also navigate the excitement of travel plans and property investments, focusing on alluring destinations like Portugal, Sicily, and southern Italy. We discuss the triumphs and challenges of incorporating technology into business, including a failed live demo of ChatGPT and the resolution of software issues.
The episode highlights the significance of mobile-friendly website designs and the trend toward single-page websites for enhanced user experience. Wrapping up, we emphasize the power of weekly accountability practices in fostering a constructive mindset and steady business progress. Remember to like, share, and subscribe for more insights and tune in next Friday for more valuable tips and strategies!

Afternoon! Have you ever thought of a great ‘fun’ business project which you would love to get started on, but you shelved it because you ‘need to make some real money’ first?
I know someone who has spent the last 12 years saying that to themselves and just this week, another client said something very similar to me.
A chance comment to me by MY business mentor made me wonder if I’ve been doing the same?
Think on this…
What if YOUR passion project idea could be the one that actually made you the real money, but it was also easy, fun and brought joy in your life?
Hmmmm…
Better dust off my Swagger & Soul project, tout suite!
