A Birthday Message

Listen Later

Please join me in wishing my favorite girly, Savannah a Happy Birthday.

I recorded this cover of “True Colors” this morning because my baby girl has been having a rough dose of adulting the past few months, and I just want her to know that many beautiful souls see her with eyes wide open, for all her humanness, and love her just the same.

Savannah, I love you to the moon and back. I hope you enjoy your song.

Life’s messy, make mistakes! It is all for the good.

((((HUGS)))),

P.S. American songwriters Billy Steinberg and Tim Kelly wrote the song "True Colors", which was originally written about Steinberg's mother. Cyndi Lauper made the song famous in 1986 when it topped the Billboard charts. The song has been covered by many artists, including Phil Collins, and most recently Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick.
