Welcome back to Human Design for Parents and Kids!
Today, I have a special guest on my podcast, Jess Bubbico. She is a 4/6 Emotional Manifestor. She initiated an appearance on the show to talk about how to develop and teach Emotional Intelligence within ourselves and with the children in our lives. One of the amazing tools she shared was her children’s book, “Jessi Lou & The Magic of You!” - an adorable asset that parents and educators can use to begin the conversation about the emotional wave.
As we discuss in the show, experiencing an emotional wave as a child is really powerful and can be kind of scary. And frankly, parents and other adults can experience the emotional wave as unnerving as well.
During this two-part episode, we discuss the emotional wave from both the perspective of the person with a Defined Solar Plexus, as well as from the perspective of the person with an Undefined Solar Plexus.
What is Emotional Intelligence and Why Does it Matter?
Emotional Intelligence is the art of understanding and processing emotions.
It matters because:
* 1 in 5 children experiencing mental health issues, and only 20% receiving supportive care
* Large-scale studies link unprocessed emotions to illness and chronic health conditions, making it even more critical for children to also help prevent physical dis-ease.
* According to the WHO half of mental health conditions start by the age of 14, most undetected and untreated. Additionally, 20% of teens have seriously considered suicide, making strong habits that will help during the trying adolescent years more important than ever.
* As a collective, we are currently undergoing a mutation of the Solar Plexus. The new paradigm will embrace the wisdom of the Solar Plexus. Learning to respect and harness this powerful energy will be one of the keys to our future as a society.
Jess Bubbico (4/6 Emotional Manifestor, RAX Vessel of Love) is a Human Design/Gene Keys guide and former pediatric speech pathologist. Jess is the author of "Jessi Lou & The Magic of You!" (available on Amazon), a beautifully illustrated, Human Design-inspired storybook to help caregivers and children learn how to accept and lovingly work through big emotions (whether defined or undefined) while spending quality time together reading a captivating story.
* Learning to love big emotions
* Supporting Highly Sensitive Kids
* Not taking our child’s emotions personally
* Creating a mind-body connection at an early age
* Role modeling for kids
* Putting it into practical action
Jessi Lou is a young girl with big emotions that often leave her feeling overwhelmed. She is met by a special friend who teaches her to love and accept herself through her big feelings and provides a simple 5-step framework to help children and adults to work through big emotions together.
You can hear Jess talk about the book on CBS 12 West Palm Beach News and on Eyewitness News 3’s Great Day Connecticut. Jess has also been on numerous podcasts discussing Human Design and the Gene Keys, including her own show, Waking Up With Jess! You can also find her on Instagram.
