Cs: Na Vyšehradě, starověkém obránci Prahy, Jirka roztahal piknikový koš na tráve u věže.
En: On Vyšehrad, the ancient defender of Praha, Jirka spread out a picnic basket on the grass near the tower.

Cs: Slunko hladilo věže a vzduch voněl čerstvými květy šeříku, které rozkvétaly okolo.
En: The sun caressed the towers, and the air smelled of the fresh blooms of lilacs that were flowering nearby.

Cs: Jirka byl mladý architekt plný snů.
En: Jirka was a young architect full of dreams.

Cs: Dneska chtěl udělat dojem na Miroslavu.
En: Today, he wanted to impress Miroslava.

Cs: Včera večer pečlivě chystal sendviče a cheesecake.

En: As she approached, she smiled, but Jirka noticed her eyes were glistening.

Cs: "Ahoj," řekl nervózně.
En: "Hello," he said nervously.

Cs: "Připravil jsem skvělý piknik."
En: "I've prepared a great picnic."

Cs: Sedli si na deku.
En: They sat down on the blanket.

Cs: Miroslava se usmála, ale její úsměv rychle zmizel.
En: Miroslava smiled, but her smile quickly faded.

Cs: Začala kašlat a dýchalo se jí hůř.
En: She began to cough and found it hard to breathe.

Cs: Panic zachvátil Jirkovo srdce.
En: Panic gripped Jirka's heart.

Cs: "To je alergie," řekla sotva slyšitelně.
En: "It's an allergy," she said barely audibly.

Cs: V této chvíli si Jirka vzpomněl na Pavla, svého přítele.
En: At that moment, Jirka remembered Pavel, his friend.

Cs: Pavel byl záchranář a nárazově pomáhal v nemocnici.
En: Pavel was a paramedic and occasionally helped out at the hospital.

Cs: I když věděl, že mezi Pavlem a Miroslavou existuje tiché napětí z minulosti, nemohl riskovat.
En: Even though he knew there was silent tension from the past between Pavel and Miroslava, he couldn’t take the risk.

Cs: Vytáhl mobil a zavolal ho.
En: He pulled out his phone and called him.

Cs: Pavel přijel rychle na kole, v otlučeném batohu nesl lékárničku.
En: Pavel arrived quickly on a bike, carrying a first aid kit in his battered backpack.

Cs: Jak se blížil, v jeho a Miroslaviných očích probleskovala nevyřčená historie.
En: As he approached, the unspoken history sparkled in both his and Miroslava's eyes.

Cs: "Co se stalo?"
En: "What happened?"

Cs: zeptal se Pavel stručně.
En: Pavel asked succinctly.

Cs: Když Pavel podával Miroslavě léky, atmosféra zhoustla jako mraky nad jejich hlavami.
En: When Pavel handed Miroslava the medicine, the atmosphere thickened like the clouds above their heads.

Cs: Miroslava se nakonec uklidnila a začala dýchat bez problémů.
En: Miroslava eventually calmed down and started breathing without difficulty.

Cs: Sedla si zpátky vedle Jirky, slunce znovu hřálo jejich tváře.
En: She sat back down next to Jirka, the sun once again warming their faces.

Cs: Po chvíli Jirka nevydržel.
En: After a while, Jirka couldn’t hold it in.

Cs: "Miroslavo, omlouvám se za ten zmatek.
En: "Miroslavo, I'm sorry for the mess.

Cs: Vím, že to nebylo ideální."
En: I know it wasn't ideal."

Cs: Miroslava mu podívala přímo do očí.
En: Miroslava looked him straight in the eyes.

Cs: "Možná pršíme interními záležitostmi.
En: "Maybe we're raining on internal matters.

Cs: Ale aspoň už víš, že mě lípy moc nemají rády."
En: But at least now you know that lindens don’t really like me."

Cs: Jirka se usmál.
En: Jirka smiled.

Cs: "Nejen lípy.
En: "Not just lindens.

Cs: Ale snad se teď lépe poznáme."
En: But maybe now we’ll get to know each other better."

Cs: Pavlovy kroky se vzdalovaly, a tak poskytly dvojici prostor i čas k otevřené konverzaci.
En: Pavel's steps receded, providing the pair with space and time for an open conversation.

Cs: Dubová Alej vyplnila ticho příslibem, že budoucnost může být lepší.
En: Oak Alley filled the silence with the promise that the future could be better.

Cs: A Miroslava se usmívala, jak květiny příštího jara, které se opět probudí k životu.
En: And Miroslava smiled like the flowers of next spring, which would awaken to life once again.
