Rebecca Beam and I talk about the chronic unemployment/underemployment of those with disabilities. Zavikon isn't focusing on a specific diagnosis. Instead, they are working on educating employers about how reasonable accommodations may be implemented to benefit everyone. Rebecca uses her own story as an example - being a single mom who needed "accommodations" to take time off for her children. Very often accommodations are low-cost and easy to implement. As "headhunters", Zavikon will not charge a job-seeker to work with them. They are paid by the employers when they place a job-seeker in an open position. If someone would like additional training to be ready for work, Zavikon will charge Medicaid.
