Jesus compares the wide gate and broad way (enticingly welcoming and accomodating) that lead to destruction which he reveals many (who think all ways lead to their maker anyway) go along, with the strait (as in: 'not crooked or meandering') gate, and narrow (simple, clear to decipher, one-not-to-miss) way that lead to life (which actually is Himself [John 14: 6 KJV). Emphatically, scripture says “God is NOT the author of confusion" (1 Corinthians 14: 33 KJV). He made sure you wouldn’t miss your way to Him IF you’re GENUINELY seeking Him! The pertinent question is: Are you? Sadly, Jesus says few find this WAY (Himself) to LIFE (again, Himself). Would you be one of these few? Remember, tomorrow, the next second, minute, etc. is not yours; no one has promised it to you.

Candidly, many voices (ethereal and earthly), clamour for your attention. Every one of those voices directs you to a set of dos-and-don'ts to merit God's (or some supposed lofty being's) favour and earn heaven but one voice in particular beckons you to A PERSON, THE ONE PERSON, who audaciously, boldly, says "I am THE way ..." He has chosen you, already. What separates you from Him now is whether you appreciate His choice of you and embrace Him. Can I share a 'secret' with you? He's THE option NO ONE can sidestep. Invite Him saying: "Lord Jesus, reveal yourself to me." He will!

The Christ of the Cross can be one of two things for you: either an attraction (which is why He came in the flesh) or a distraction you choose to not have anything to do with. The onus lies with you. If all things were made by Jesus as boldly asserted in the first chapter of the Gospel of John, then that makes Him your source and mine. He is our only option if life that truly matters is what we hunger after. By this brief, I urge you to respond to Jesus, who claims to be the ONLY conduit to God the Father (who is one with Jesus (John 14:6). He died as you, to break the power of the sin of rebellion against God that binds every unbeliever and He resurrected to assure you that IN HIM life eternal is a done deal. Invite Him into your life today? Now? Don't dilly dally, PLEASE!

Jesus says, "Come to ME!" Why? Because He claims to be "The Life," not merely a conduit to life. Sit you down, check out Jesus' seemingly outrageous claims about Himself, and arrive at a personal defining decision; to be His or not. I pray you are His.

I make bold to say that there is absolutely none like Jesus Christ. Among the many claims Jesus daringly made, He said to Philip, who was one of His twelve apostles, that "if you have seen me, you have seen (God) the Father" (refer to John 14:9 KJV). Today, He urges you to come to Him, who is "the Resurrection and the Life" (John 11: 25 KJV). It's as simple as saying, "Lord Jesus, be my Lord and Saviour from now on. I surrender all to you. Let your Holy Spirit take residence in me and help me to be all that you created me to be. To your honour and praise. Amen."

I can boldly recommend Him to you; Jesus the Christ. The world’s calendar is set to acknowledge His irrevocable dominion; the years before Christ (BC), and the years after His resurrection and ascension to the present (AD or Anno Domini meaning ‘In the year of the Lord’). His Holy Spirit takes residence in everyone who places absolute faith in Jesus. Will you place yours in Him today? Now? Remember, tomorrow is really nobody’s.

Do you feel caught up in life’s maze that makes you question life’s meaningfulness and you wonder whether life is worth living at all? Jesus boldly, daringly says to you: “I am … THE life.” Why won’t you surrender to Him now? It could be as simple a prayer like “Jesus, please show me that you are the real and only deal!” If you pray like that from the gut of your being, He will reveal Himself to you.

Eternity and where you will spend it is not a matter to trifle with. Every decision we each make from moment to moment has eternal ramifications. Jesus the Christ is calling out to you. He says "I am THE way, THE truth, and THE life. No one has access to (God) the Father except by me. Will you heed His call and say, "Lord Jesus, here I am. Please receive me and make me new in you as your word promises in 2 Corinthians 5:17. Thank you, Lord."
