There's an issue with our perception of missionaries and missions work in the West. It seems to have been a slow decline, not necessarily in the desire of people to be missionaries, but in the spiritual condition of America and the increasing need for faithful Christians to be missionaries to our own cities.

Much of short term missions and long term missions have both different and overlapping problems, but a Christian who wants to spend their time and resources traveling across the world to share the Gospel when the spiritual condition of our nations are collapsing out from under us reveals a theological hole.

In this episode I talk about my own experience as someone who has taken short term mission trips and has lived in another country for missions work, and share the experiences of people I know, and discuss the Biblical solution to these problems and the right way we ought to look at the necessity of missions work and bringing the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
