This book was written by the sister of a friend. I had a heck of a time finding it. None of the major bookstores are stocking it. It's a shame the publishers aren't promoting it better. So it's up to us, the readers to spread the word! Fortunately, I found it on Amazon. Bought it to support my friend/her sister. Wasn't expecting it to be so amazing! As the other reviewers have stated: It hooks you right away and never lets your interest wane. And though you want to do nothing but read it from cover to cover, it's divided into small chapters, so that you can put it down, if you must. It is extremely readable. The ending doesn't disappoint -- but it leaves you wanting more. I can't wait to read Dalia's next book. A CATCH IN TIME is more than entertainment, it will haunt you. It's more than a thrill ride; it's a book for thinkers and should be required reading for any Philosophy in Literature course. The book is not only good, it's important. Do yourself a favor: buy it/read it!! I guarantee you will become an instant Dalia Roddy fan. Let's hope this first book inspires her to write many more.

super escapism

I loved this book. It grabs you from the first page and doesn't let go until the last. The concept is brilliant and the execution is so smooth, it carries you throughout the book in rabid pursuit of the outcome . This is a great book to read at the beach or on an airplane when you really want a good distraction and have a good chunk of time, because you won't want to put it down. The story and atmosphere created will stay with you long after you've finished reading it.

So much more than a thriller

This book defies genre; it is brimming with everything one could want in a book. With suspense, horror, philosophy, love, and friendship, all told in rich language, A Catch in Time examines what it means to be human. This book grabbed me from the first page, and did not let go. Be warned: you will not want to do anything else but read A Catch in Time once you start it.

My old friend Dalia has written a most interesting novel, one that kept me hooked till the end, or was it the beginning.... Get it and enjoy!
