Exciting and fun in a continuing series.

I am hooked on this series! The characters are likeable and "fight evil" with their good magick. This time evil comes as the leader of a Pagan group meeting on Tequila Key. When he tries to steal Aletha, Luna, and Miss Elva's magick he is in for more than he bargained for, as they protect themselves and as many others around them as they can.

Bodies and possible boyfriend, Cash, compete for Thea's attention. With some interesting twists, you will find yourself racing to the end of this second in the series of exciting books. A new character slips through the veil and joins the friends as they try to take down the Pagan leader and solve the murders.

Exciting and fun in a continuing series.

Life's always interesting in Tequila!

I give this story 4.5 Stars. The gangs all back again and trouble is a foot once more. People are dying and evil is walking the streets of Tequila. Throw in a pesky ghost and a few new love interests for our favorite people and sit back and watch the fun. ââ

This story had a surprising little twist at the end. Not your typical paranormal story, I really liked the part the Goddess played in this installment.ââ

Unfortunately for some love does not always run smoothly. As with the first story their is a completion of the mystery portion of the storyline while the love story is a work in progress.

Draws you in

Her writing draws you in so deep that when something outside of the book interrupts you, you jump. I did. The characters are very well balanced and keeps you on your toes. Normally I don't read mystery novels, but hers drew me in and I can't stop reading. On to the next book.

Crazy Town

The crazies have come to Tequila Key. And our psychic Althea and her friends are going to get pulled into the mess. I was so happy to see more of the Voodoo Priestess in this book , she' s a blast! Great story.

Going strong...

Turtles, pagans, ghosts, murder and magic...oh, and love to round it all out! If you want to see how all these disparate things combine into a wonderfully entertaining book...dive in!

The start of the Rune series pluss bonus tales with HEA

Amelia Wilson seems to offer us several books in one.

This book had the story of Nika and Erik meeting over the artefact called the Rune Sword. We can meet them again in other tales, and I see other reviewers have described the main plot.

Bonus story, Awakening, was also in her book, Bearly Deniable. It is a sci-fi tale.Two aliens are put into hibernation by some primitive peoples. Archeologist Sera many many years later is studying the sarcophagus of one of them, when he awakens. Sera and the other male connected to him go on the run, as they are afraid of what people will do to the aliens. The three share an alien kind of sexual encounter, Sera is part alien herself, and gets pregnant. There are other aliens in the world who help them find a safe place to live.

The second bonus, Dragon Knight, is about an acolyte, Shera, serving the goddess Maan who has left their world a magic jewel, providing all the magic their world needs. Shera gets into trouble from the main priestess for asking questions about fussy religious practices regarding how to serve/respect the goddess Maan. Visitors from other places arrive at an important ceremony and Shera meets a stranger, the dragon knight. He tells her the Jewel of Maan really belongs to his people. They go to look for it, and in so doing, discover the main priestess has hidden several nasty secrets.

The three last bonus stories form the Vampire in Disguise series.

Yarra, a human oracle meets Avice the vampire son of a vampire leader, and the two fall in love, despite the vampires being against the match and Yarra herself getting a vision of Avice shooting her to death. Foreseeing can show one of many possibilities ; Yarra meets another oracle and learns that she has a choice about the future.

And work they did!

A good follow-on to the first book. I enjoyed the personal relationships in the story as well as the main plot line. The only slight drawback is that there was a lot of talk about seismic activity in the area that was just allowed to drop at the end. No resolution to that and no follow-up in the final book of the trilogy. That left me wanting a bit more even though it was really a background to the main story line to give the protagonists a way to develop their powers.

Jack Knapp has found a great way to bring you into his world of combat wizards and with his unique approach to story telling- which leads you to hang on every word... always wondering where the story is going next. His attention to details make you feel as if you were drawn into the very story itself. (Spoiler: will New Mexico explode into a giant volcano or not? I am waiting and wanting to know!! Lots of new ideas in this series and a great read!

Pretty cool, and better than I expected

Interesting way of linking magical beings, ordinary people, and the story. Pretty cool, and better than I expected!

The adventure continues

T and Ray continue to explore their powers and find ways to use them for good. The story is grounded and detailed, making even extra sensory powers seem plausible as a real-world thing, perhaps even a bit mundane. This is a refreshing and enjoyable read about believable characters who have developed super-human abilities. I plan to continue with the third book of the series.

Funny

Funny in a weird way: I liked how the book didn't take itself too seriously. just like in RL nothing too extaordinary happens if you ignore the ESP. and it seems the average guy with ESP is still trying hard to find ways to make money. It was an agreeable change from the usual saving the world/universe drama. the first book had more action, but I enjoyed this one more.

If youâre a fan of good old-fashioned death, blood and gore, like Stephen King books and mystery this is a must read!

This story took over my life like the yellow pus took over some of its characters. I felt the impact of this mystery novel immediately and it kept going throughout!

Not typically a fan of the macabre and grotesque, I make an exception for some of Stephen Kingâs work and would definitely compare this story to his writing. Angella Cormier and Pierre C Arseneault are Atlantic Canadian authors.Their collaborative story telling is seamless as this novel was put together in pieces but completed like a morbid but well sewn quilt.

It begins with a dramatic scene at an orphanage where a crazy lady was calling out to Maggie, a child resident, who left something in the confusion of being hauled off to the psych ward by a medical team. The fast paced and mysterious action only went on from there.

The island is described as picturesque and a close-knit community, a place many would be interested in visiting for an escape from their regular work life. And it certainly offers an adventure that no one would call boring. With a creature unlike a werewolf but often described as such for lack of understanding, the island is complete with a mystical elder, an eager botanist and a hospital filled with mysterious nurses, doctors on missions and psych patients to love, itâs a mixture that will certainly make some memories.

I am a huge fan of this writing team, for their writing ability and passion to succeed. Having them be from a neighbouring province of New Brunswick, Canada makes it all the easier for me to spread the word about their new release.

Fun Christmas Mystery

I was very excited to listen to this story since I love Christmas and mysteries, it seemed like the perfect audiobook for me! I greatly enjoyed the world that D. Gunn created with his characters, including all of the elf swear words which had me chuckling every time. Im looking forward to the sequel!

I also really loved Gregory Salinass performance! I had listened to him narrate before (which is another reason why I chose this audiobook), and I enjoy the variety of voices that he brings to the characters along with his smooth, almost film noir detective voice that he gives Steingrim Ogg. All of the different voices and accents really distinguish the characters and make me feel like Im a part of the story. I would highly recommend any other audiobooks that hes narrated.

Captivating and Creative

The juxtaposition of having a noir murder mystery set in a Christmas fantasy world made for a very lighthearted yet captivating listen. I found myself quickly drawn in to the imagery, characters, and witty dialogues of the complex world of Elves that the author vividly portrayed. The tale covered topics of crime, gangs, racism, and violence without losing sight of the magic and spirit of Christmas. The narrator does a fantastic job of giving each character a unique voice to match their personality. The story has definitely left me wanting more, and I look forward to the next Mistletoe Mystery!

It's a good book for everyone.. It has a lot of action and excitement. Her abilities are great and she gets better at using them every time she uses them.

Great Read!

I had the pleasure of reading this unbelievably cool sci-fi fantasy before it hit the shelves. Yelich-Koth does an great job of painting magical worlds that drew me in and kept me up at night reading.

Exciting and Mysterious

This is a book my tween son read, and he read it very quickly. The book is about a girl who has extraordinary powers, who is taken to a ship in outer-space to channel her powers. It's the kind of book that keeps the reader guessing about what will happen next, and there are mysteries to keep up the excitement. A good read.

Recommended to anyone who likes any kind of fiction at all.

This book is about a young woman called Daith who appears to have been captured so as to avert her assassination, and has thereby lost her memory. She has awakened on a ship with a captain she believes is lying to her about who she is and what sheâs doing there. But then we learn that the captainâs brother is an empath, who has been hired to bring memories of her god-like father back to her so his legacy can be restored.

Daithâs father, Jacin Jaxx, âthe most powerful being in the universe, a man who could change an individualâs thoughts, who had ended dozens of wars, who was as close to a god as one could come, has given up. And the captain of the ship Daith has awakened on is determined to bring the memories of Jacinâs daughter back to her.â

The book is very well written and maintains both a good pace and the interest of the reader, who by the way is not normally attracted to whatâs known as âhardâ science fiction, which this started out to be. I like the characters Iâm supposed to like, and dislike those Iâm supposed to dislike, which as a writer myself, I think is very desirable. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes âhardâ science fiction, or any kind of fiction at all.

Interesting Read.

I can't say I enjoyed it. I found the story frustrating, but the writing was good. For a character like Daith, that is so gifted with telepathy, I would think she could see through the lies that Trey, the main character, gave her. Trey is so determined to be evil and hide things from Daith, that I found it unbelievable.
