The start of the Rune series pluss bonus tales with HEA

Amelia Wilson seems to offer us several books in one.

This book had the story of Nika and Erik meeting over the artefact called the Rune Sword. We can meet them again in other tales, and I see other reviewers have described the main plot.

Bonus story, Awakening, was also in her book, Bearly Deniable. It is a sci-fi tale.Two aliens are put into hibernation by some primitive peoples. Archeologist Sera many many years later is studying the sarcophagus of one of them, when he awakens. Sera and the other male connected to him go on the run, as they are afraid of what people will do to the aliens. The three share an alien kind of sexual encounter, Sera is part alien herself, and gets pregnant. There are other aliens in the world who help them find a safe place to live.

The second bonus, Dragon Knight, is about an acolyte, Shera, serving the goddess Maan who has left their world a magic jewel, providing all the magic their world needs. Shera gets into trouble from the main priestess for asking questions about fussy religious practices regarding how to serve/respect the goddess Maan. Visitors from other places arrive at an important ceremony and Shera meets a stranger, the dragon knight. He tells her the Jewel of Maan really belongs to his people. They go to look for it, and in so doing, discover the main priestess has hidden several nasty secrets.

The three last bonus stories form the Vampire in Disguise series.

Yarra, a human oracle meets Avice the vampire son of a vampire leader, and the two fall in love, despite the vampires being against the match and Yarra herself getting a vision of Avice shooting her to death. Foreseeing can show one of many possibilities ; Yarra meets another oracle and learns that she has a choice about the future.
